How will I benefit from a gap year?
When a Lattitude gap year volunteer travels they are not a tourist. They get the opportunity to participate in the life of the communities where they are placed and often provide a vital service where resources are limited. Our gap year programs will stretch you in ways you have never been challenged before. Many young people say that the experience of being a Lattitude volunteer helped them grow and changed their outlook on life forever. They also had the satisfaction of knowing that they have made a positive contribution to the communities they served.

What will my gap year contribute?
Each gap year program has, at its core the aim that it will benefit the community or institution where you are based. We at Lattitude recognise that each volunteer is different so we offer a range of gap year volunteering opportunities from being a teaching assistant in an English speaking country to the challenge of living on a remote South Pacific island. Each volunteer goes through an interview process to ensure the best fit between their talents and potential and a gap year program’s needs.
Gap year fundraising and costs?
To ensure that we can give you the best service we charge a fee to cover some our administrative costs. It includes the extensive pre departure, arrival and in country support we provide to all our volunteers. The fee also includes all predeparture training, and briefing. However we also offer a wide range of bursaries and support for your fundraising to allow as many people as possible to benefit from a gap year volunteering experience. To get some great
